Located at 1936 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley, CA 94704, The Noodle, Thai Restaurant operates as a thai restaurant serving Berkeley in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Berkeley, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 12β2:45 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (510) 848-6531. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thenoodlebay.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 568 reviews, which is a strong result for a thai restaurant in Berkeley and suggests consistent service.
Berkeley is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Berkeley is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A very clean place to grab lunch or dinner with 3-5 friends. Plan ahead for larger groups. Food was average but high quality dinnerware they serve in. Cleanliness top notch. Large portion size.

A wonderful find, light fresh food like Thai should be. I looked in on the other Thai restaurants in the area but mostly looked hyped. This was the real deal which you could tell from the clientele and the footfall picking up for take out. I always go for the Laab, as itβs a good test of authenticity and freshness, this did not disappoint. The people were lovely and the service was efficient, a superb light and very tasty meal!

No complaints about the service; they were quick and very friendly. Unfortunately, I was not the biggest fan of the food. The green curry noodles came with vermicelli, and I wanted to try it since itβs what they recommend, but it just was not the right texture for the curry I felt. The flavor of the curry itself was not super flavorful. I felt like more coconut milk could have been added to coat the noodles more. The spring rolls were good. I enjoyed the peanut sauce. We also sat at the front by the door, and it was rather cold in that seat.

Food was great and the service was quick, efficient, and very friendly. The staff made the experience even better with their welcoming attitude. The place was clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment to enjoy a meal. Itβs a perfect spot whether youβre looking for a quick bite on the go or want to sit down and dine in. Overall, a solid choice for a casual and satisfying meal.

The Noodle is a fantastic Thai restaurant that brings authentic Thai food to Berkeley. It's small and casual, making it a really great place to bring your friends. It's also delicious and affordable, making the food addictive. My family and I have eaten here many times for all those reasons. The menu at the Noodle is extensive, so much so that it is hard to pick a favorite. I've been here enough to summarize the following menu highlights. The fried spring rolls, fried calamari, and larb are the best appetizers I've had in this town. The Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew here are fresh-tasting, delicious noodles you've got to try. If you can handle a little spice, then try the Pad Kee Mao as well. If you like fried chicken, the fried rice with fried chicken and the crispy mango chicken are incredible! And I would also recommend a tase of the Massaman Gai curry before you top everything off with the fried ice cream or the sticky sweet rice with mango. Some lesser known but still enticing menu items include the Khao Soi (which is great with their gluten free fried chicken) and the Lord of Noodles. Both of these are solid main courses you may or may not have tried elsewhere, made with the Noodl
